Zoe presents a case study involving a 7-year-old boy with an unknown cause of epilepsy.
The boy was referred to the ketogenic diet service due to worsening seizures. He was a fussy eater who preferred high carbohydrate-based foods and experienced significant behavioural difficulties.
Initially, ketogenic diet therapy was considered unsuitable due to concerns that restricting his carbohydrate intake might worsen his behavioural issues. However, the introduction of K.Vita proved successful, resulting in a significant improvement in seizure frequency.
