Francine Freedman’s interview explores the ins and outs of maternal PKU patient education. The content focuses on the stages and priorities of dietary education for preconception and unplanned PKU pregnancies, incorporating techniques for learning and essential resources.

Suzanne Ford’s presentation explores the gaps in care provision for maternal PKU and proposes a plan of action to address these gaps. This presentation includes an interview with three maternal PKU patients, who each give their account on what it is like to go through pregnancy with PKU from a preconception, pregnancy and postpartum perspective.
